Quick answer
Everything you need to know before you buy – what Pyrivo does well, where it isn't the right fit, and what it costs to run.
What is Pyrivo?
Pyrivo is a compact plug-in ceramic heater. Instead of sitting on the floor with a trailing lead, it plugs directly into a standard UK wall socket. Inside, PTC ceramic plates warm the air and a quiet fan pushes it into the room.
Key features
| Heating technology | PTC ceramic heating plates |
|---|---|
| Power | 400W (low) / 800W (high) |
| Coverage | Rooms up to approx. 12 m² |
| Controls | Touch panel, LED display and remote control |
| Thermostat | Adjustable digital thermostat |
| Timer | Yes – set from the remote |
| Safety | Overheat protection with automatic shut-off |
| Air filter | Antimicrobial filter |
| Plug | UK 3-pin, plugs straight into a wall socket |
What we like
- Targeted heat. Warm the room you're in instead of the whole house.
- Fast warm-up. Ceramic plates reach temperature quickly.
- Remote, timer and thermostat. Set it once and leave it.
- Safety cut-off. Overheat protection switches it off automatically.
- No installation. Plug in and go – ideal for renters.
Things to consider
- Designed for rooms up to around 12 m². For a large open-plan lounge, use two units or a larger heater.
- It's an electric heater, so it uses electricity while on – see our running-cost guide.
- It needs a free wall socket with space around it.
Who is Pyrivo best for?
People who spend most of the evening in one room, work from home, have a cold bedroom or box room, or want to keep the central heating thermostat lower this winter.
Verdict
If you want quick, controllable warmth in a small-to-medium room without installing anything, Pyrivo is a sensible, low-cost option. Buy it from the official Pyrivo UK store to get the 30-day money-back guarantee.
